- Not levied here
Oman does not levy a personal income tax on individuals before 2028. Royal Decree 56/2025 promulgated the Personal Income Tax Law (5% on net income above OMR 42,000 a year), but Article 4 provides that the decree comes into force on 1 January 2028; the executive regulation was to be issued within a year. There is therefore no individual annual return to record for the current tax year. Page read: https://tms.taxoman.gov.om/portal/personal-income-tax (the Tax Authority's Personal Income Tax (PIT) section).

Under the VAT Law the return is due within 30 days after the end of the tax period, and the net VAT is paid by the same date. The rule records one month after the period end. The withholding tax that does exist under the Income Tax Law is on payments to foreign persons without a permanent establishment, due no later than the fourteenth day of the end of the month in which the amount was paid or credited; that is a different obligation, not a salary withholding.
