Tax calendar
When the main returns and payments fall due in Cape Verde, tax year 2026, as the tax authority states it.
- Corporate tax return
- 31 May · each year
The annual income tax return is Modelo 1B, filed electronically by 31 May — for the 2025 financial year, 31 May 2026. The calendar prints no separate corporate model number, so the organised-accounting return is recorded; a company that keeps organised accounts files Modelo 1B, while an individual with Category B or C income files Modelo 112 on the same date.

- Corporate tax, instalments
- Set each year by decree
Corporate income tax is paid in three fractions a year — 'pagamento fracionado do imposto sobre o rendimento (IRPC/IRPS – Categoria B)' — each 30% of the tax assessed for the previous year, by the end of March, the end of August and the end of November: 31 March 2026, 31 August 2026 and 30 November 2026. The three dates are recorded because the schema's frequency values (annual, semiannual, quarterly, bimonthly, monthly) have no three-a-year case, so frequency is null rather than wrong.

- Personal income-tax return
- 31 May · each year
The individual's annual return is Modelo 112, filed electronically by 31 May. Employees and pensioners with Category A income only are not required to file: the calendar gives them an optional Modelo 112 by 31 March, for updating or correcting their position, instead of a return due, because tax on Category A income is withheld at source.

- Personal income tax, instalments
- Set each year by decree
The same three fractions cover personal income tax on Category B income: 30% of the previous year's tax by the end of March, August and November — 31 March 2026, 31 August 2026 and 30 November 2026. Category A tax on salaries and pensions is not paid this way; it is withheld monthly by the employer.

- VAT return
- 1 month after the end of the month · each month
VAT is monthly: Modelo 106 and its annexes are filed, and the VAT charged in the period is paid, by the last day of the month following the tax period — 31 January 2026 for December 2025, 28 February for January, 31 March for February, and so on to 31 December for November 2026. Micro and small businesses in the special regime (REMPE) file Modelo 107 quarterly instead, with the unified special tribute (TEU).

- Payroll withholding
- Day 15 of the following month · each month
Tax withheld at source — including the IRPS Category A withheld from salaries — is handed over with the Declaração Periódica de Rendimentos by the 15th of the following month: 15 January 2026 for December, 15 February for January, and so on to 15 December for November. The DPR is also where withholding on other income is reported.
